Ansiedad Enmascarada
Ansiedad Enmascarada (Masked Anxiety) is Stanley Gavidia's second solo show with Artfront Galleries. This new collection of work is his response to the global pandemic.
Stanley prefers viewers have their own visceral reaction to the individual pieces - to draw their own meanings. Overall the world he imagines here is anxious and masked but still holds on to hope. He is exploring the enigma of life and death and our never ending quest for love, happiness, and meaning.
For now we need to don physical masks to protect ourselves and others. We are also donning psychic masks to hide our anxieties. However, these psychic masks prevent us from being fully open to the many lessons the universe is revealing during this nexus in time.
