Spontaneously, a collection of artworks is displayed majestically at the Art Hotel, with one thing in common, the blue colour. An exhibition that springs from Jehan’s passion towards the blue colour, Out of the Blue.

With a splash of continuous blue waves, the exhibit unfolds, conceived by curator Jehan Saleh with five established artists from different environments driven by their inner quest to explore the shades and depths of the blue colour.

The blue colour is used in art to depict an array of emotions, from tranquillity and calm to melancholy and sadness. It's usually associated with the natural world, such as the sky and the sea, making it an excellent way to represent the vastness of the universe and awaken a sense of wonder.

In this exhibition, the artists used different techniques from mixed media to acrylic to monotype on handmade paper or canvas, from pale shades of blue to darker, richer hues to portray and inspire awe and admiration or convey a sense of calm and peacefulness, as well as a sense of nostalgia and longing.

The versatility of the blue colour makes it a popular choice among many artists, allowing them to create a wide range of artworks with a unified colour palette and revealing the power of this timeless colour.
