SAFE

This exhibition is a presentation of imaginary bank and vault doors. These formidable barriers, designed to safeguard treasures and valuables, transcend their utilitarian purpose to become potent symbols of protection, secrecy, and wealth.

By isolating them from their original context and presenting them in a gallery space, I invite viewers to engage with them in a new light, prompting reflection on themes of security, power, and the human desire for preservation.

Their intricate patterns, textures, and mechanisms serve as visual metaphors for the complexities of safeguarding our innermost desires, dreams, and vulnerabilities. Each imperfection, each scratch, and each hinge tell a story of resilience and endurance against the passage of time. In some the use of neon and glass may point towards a dystopian future.

These seemingly mundane objects provoke thoughts about the nature of security, the value of material possessions, and the fragility of human existence in an ever-changing world.
