The Moment with My Pet

Pets are a part of human history. In the past, people kept pets to show their social status and authority. Pets were symbols of royalty and nobility. As time passed, pets were no longer treated only as living tools or symbols of status. Pets are now comforting companions. They help us stay happy and relieve our stress. They play with us and show us love. Pets appear in many art pieces. From the 17th century to the present, pets may have different meanings when they appear in artworks. In this exhibition, you not only see how the artists present images of pets in their works, but also the bonding between the pets and their owners. Many artists painted portraits of people and their pets; they also created artworks showing their own pets. They shared a special moment with their pets and used paintbrushes to capture these precious moments.
