Ingrid Brown Collection - Cornwall Gallery

This is the second of three galleries exhibiting the Ingrid Brown Collection. Two further galleries cover her paintings of the i) Peak District and Yorkshire, and ii) Germany (and beloved Chester, her apprentice cat while in Germany). Ingrid Brown's Peak District and Yorkshire paintings precede her Cornwall work, so (unless you have seen it already) it is recommended to browse her Peak District and Yorkshire collection first.
This gallery exhibits a collection of 75 paintings by Cornwall-based artist Ingrid Brown, with two sections exhibiting her Cornwall paintings. This collection covers her early Cornwall paintings right up to her more recent work (up to 2023) and displays an interesting range of her styles. Early Cornwall paintings follow the "big skies, land and sea" style (as I like to call it) which is a continuation and evolution of her Peak District and Yorkshire work. Later Cornwall paintings are increasingly impressionistic and more figurative.

1) All paintings and their descriptions are my own. I have described paintings based on my personal knowledge and interpretation. These descriptions have not been reviewed or endorsed by any artists.
2) Where possible, I tried to establish when paintings were created. Surprisingly many paintings are not dated. In those cases, I tried to estimate roughly when they were painted.
