Chronicles III: The Monochrome Series
Chronicles III takes my world of art into a different space.
My introduction to ontology made me aware of the importance of being and becoming. Being an observer of my own self opens door to self-realization in many different ways – learning the importance of somatic, the power of language and distinctions of emotions. As the saying goes “You cannot change what you don’t see”. I accept that I will forever be a “work-in-progress” that requires perseverance in constant practices to be a better version of myself.
This digital art series allows me to explore many themes and styles. The beauty of grace and elegance. The importance of nature and nurture; where I pay tribute to my parents where a few pieces were done in honor of all mothers and fathers (during Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in May and June respectively). The blessing of movement. The negative film effect brings back the charms of nostalgia. The simplicity of clean lines with different shades of grey.
Within this new series, I am also introducing a chapter entitled TM. TM is my first collaborative initiative with other like-minded creative enthusiasts.
Fondly known as YT, I have been a brand strategist for over 2 decades. 100% born-and-bred in Malaysia but now based in Hong Kong. Missed travelling now. When it comes to art, mainly self-taught.
