Piero Guccione Dolore e Meraviglia (Pain and Wonder)
La Galleria Piero Guccione accoglie virtualmente la mostra Piero Guccione Dolore e Meraviglia, allestita all’inizio del 2024 presso il Museo Regionale Francesco Messina – Salvatore Incorpora di Linguaglossa.
L’esposizione si ispira ad una citazione di Aristotele che l’artista fa sua per affermare come “il dolore e la meraviglia siano alla base della Filosofia ma anche della Pittura, sentimenti di cui lo sguardo di un pittore è inevitabilmente permeato”.
Lungo il percorso si potranno ammirare le riproduzioni di ventiquattro opere di Piero Guccione realizzate tra il 1975 e il 2008. Una vibrante e commossa immersione nella bellezza del Creato – e nel dolore, quando questa è violata dall’Uomo – che si declina nei tenui azzurri infiniti di cieli e mari, nei frondosi e feriti carrubi, nelle lune solitarie appese al margine di una tela, sospese tra la malinconia ed echi di solitudine e di infinito.

Piero Guccione. Pain and Wonder
The Piero Guccione Gallery virtually welcomes the exhibition Piero Guccione Pain and Wonder, set up at the beginning of 2024 at the Francesco Messina - Salvatore Incorpora Regional Museum in Linguaglossa.
The exhibition is inspired by a quotation from Aristotle that the artist makes his own to affirm how ‘pain and wonder are the basis of Philosophy but also of Painting, sentiments with which a painter's gaze is inevitably permeated’.
Along the route, one can admire reproductions of twenty-four works by Piero Guccione created between 1975 and 2008. A vibrant and moved immersion in the beauty of Creation - and in the pain, when this is violated by Man - that is declined in the soft infinite blues of skies and seas, in the leafy and wounded carob trees, in the solitary moons hanging at the edge of a canvas, suspended between melancholy and echoes of solitude and infinity.
