Never Left: Liang Wang

Moving back to Taiwan after twenty-four years mostly living abroad, I began picturing the people’s lifestyle during my time away. Rediscovering my heritage, I use photo references and gouache to paint scenes of Taiwan as if they were cinematic stills, suggesting an imaginary reality that I’ve missed on.
