Pursuit of Silence

We live in the era of noise. Noise surrounds us, noise overwhelms us, even if we do not know it. Many of us experience a desperate longing for the noise to ease, or even to go away. We find ourselves in pursuit of silence. As Rumi wisely said, we should listen to silence as it has much to say. This exhibition has silence written all over it. We have 20 very quiet photos, catching that split second when the noise does not matter anymore, and we freeze in silence. “Pursuit of Silence” takes viewers on a journey to different corners of the planet, to quiet places, to people, to animals who find their quiet bubble sometimes even in the middle of a busy street. This collection of photographs is about silence and finding silence. As diverse as we are, we share similar feelings and longings. This means that wherever we come from, we may find traces of our own experience in the selection of photographs presented at this exhibition.
