CORRESPONDENCIA INTERNACIONAL: Claudio Fourcade y Julián Fourcade
CORRESPONDENCIA INTERNACIONAL
La anécdota no es arbitraria, si las relaciones padre-hijo se desenvuelven sobre un territorio que abraza la relación filial, el intercambio entre estos dos artistas sugiere una novedosa forma de vinculación, basada en un proceso creativo atestiguado en la correspondencia mantenida, contactos que transforman a los protagonistas: PADRE-HIJO-ARTISTA.
Elaborando una serie de obras sugerentes que funcionan de manera independiente, Claudio Fourcade (el primero de esa trinidad secular), desde Buenos Aires, aborda pinturas abstractas que respiran la tradición rioplatense del género. Una pintura plana y geométrica donde se desarrollan variaciones modulares de formas y color, señales inequívocas de su formación como Arquitecto.
Julián Fourcade (el hijo) dibuja desde Cochabamba objetos cotidianos del hogar como también aviones derribados en la Segunda Guerra Mundial; en un estilo que deja testimonio de sus lecturas de historietas en blanco y negro; de Crumb a Solano Lopez y de Bilal a Moebius. Lo hace munido de una lapicera con cartuchos de tinta negra, único testigo de la faena artística.
La muestra se propone funcionar como un encuentro entre estos dos tipos de estéticas y obras, diametralmente opuestas en lo epidérmico, que irían de la abstracción a la figuración, y viceversa. Una pregunta, un vocablo alarmante somete a un juicio de valor la dureza de la aleación de la muestra: la relación filial y la relación artística. Confluencia de cuestiones formales y afectivas, la muestra es una oportunidad para el ojo avizor de ingresar en el universo de estos dos artistas y descubrir la síntesis armoniosa de PADRE-HIJO-ARTISTA.

The anecdote is not an arbitrary one, if the father-son relationship rolls out on a territory that embraces a filial condition, the exchange between these two artists suggests a novel kind of bonding based on a creative process, as witnessed in the correspondence maintained by both, exchanges that transform the protagonists: FATHER-SON-ARTIST.
By creating a series of allusive works that are independent pieces as well, Claudio Fourcade (the first in this secular trinity) working from Buenos Aires, Argentina; approaches a series of abstract paintings that breath from the tradition in the genre that originated in the Río de la Plata. A flat and geometric painting filled with modular variations of form and color; the unequivocal signals of the author´s formal training as an Architect.
Julián Fourcade (the son) draws in Cochabamba, Bolivia; everyday life objects that can be found at home, as well as shot down World War II planes; both in a style that bears testimony of his extensive readings of black and white comics: from Crumb to Solano Lopez and from Bilal to Moebious. He constructs his drawings with a fountain pen with ink cartridges as ammunition, the only witnesses of his artistic endeavors.
The show intends to work as a gathering of two kinds of esthetics at work, in opposition in the surface; going from abstraction to figuration and vice versa. Bearing the question as of which language carries the value judgment for the weld that bonds the show together: the filial relationship or the artistic relationship. A confluence of formal and affective matters, the show is an opportunity for the watchful eye to enter the universe of these two artists to discover the harmonious synthesis of FATHER-SON-ARTIST.
