Mamluk Sultinate (1250-1450) Glass

The Mamluks were a slave army that ruled the territory broadly contiguous with Egypt and Syria from 1250-1508CE. Under their rule, glass-making reached new heights of sophistication and design. The exhibition features 28 exquisite pieces chosen from eleven museum spread across eight countries.
