Exhibition Text:
In a year marked by a monumental shift to a new normal, many of us had to trade old familiar comforts, for a much more restricted yet socially acceptable routine. Still, there's a calming sense of awareness that takes shape in unexpected isolation. As hard as it would ease into it, the experience breeds certain ideas that would no have been formed otherwise. For Cebuano artists, Mark Copino, Khriss Bajade, John Villoria, and Bastinuod, living together in partial confinement from the rest of the city allowed them to cultivate, a shared space where the self is completely stripped of any pretenses, where varying beliefs, can co-exist and invaluable ideas are after too often neglected in a normal world.

GASA - the Cebuano word for the gift - an exhibit and a tribute to the various selves that one moves through in a modern world of isolation and confinement. A homage to friendship and camaraderie, to the sharing and accepting of new ideas, to gratitude and the gift of living.
