Summer Interlude

Christophe Guye Galerie invites you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of "Summer Interlude", a group exhibition in the virtual space of the gallery that presents a unique selection of works attuned to this delightful season.

On view, among others, is a work from the Self-Portrait series by Jun Ahn (South Korea), in which she stands for once not on dizzying facade edges in New York, but on just such cliffs in Australia as well as a work from the Invisible Scape series. Also on view are works from Stéphane Couturier's (France) latest project, "E1027+123 - Villa Eileen Gray", in which he superimposes Le Courbusier's murals on Eileen Gray's architecture of Villa E-1027, this house built in 1929 in Roquebrune Cap-Martin in southern France. In addition, there are works from the Hydrea series by Emma Summerton (Australia), created during the pandemic, during which Emma lived for several months in a simple Greek version of a surf shack. You will also see works by Risaku Suzuki (Japan) from his series Between the Sea and the Mountain - Kumano, in which the artist captures the path that begins at the sea and leads to the mountains via the Kumano-Kodo pilgrimage trail, created over years of labour by man and nature.

This carefully curated exhibition also invites you to discover works by Miles Aldridge (Great Britain), Anthony Friedkin (USA), Syoin Kajii (Japan), Rinko Kawauchi (Japan), and John Yuyi (Taiwan).

Although this is a virtual exhibition, most of the works can be viewed in the gallery. Please contact us in advance to make an appointment to view the works.
