Taino Digital Works is an exhibition of artwork inspired by photographs of Taino sacred objects.
I am inspired by the art left to us by the Native Taino people of the Caribbean and the images you experience here are created from photos of Taino sacred objects and rock art that has been digitized and otherwise colorized, duplicated, turned and twisted to create a totally different image.
I have been working on this art for several years now to develop what you experience here today.
This art is appropriate for public spaces especially in institutions in the Latino/Native community since they have cultural content. Since they are digital, they can be reproduced in many different sizes, printed on a variety of materials and arranged in a myriad of configurations.
