Finding the Silver Lining

Everyone likes ending on a positive note —a “happily ever after”. But “feel-good” doesn’t always necessarily mean sunshine and rainbows. It can also refer to creating meaningful change in our communities, finding ourselves, standing up for what we believe in, and coming together. In the “CHANGES” exhibition from 2020, we asked contributors to identify the differences between their pre-pandemic life and their current life. Students sought out what situations in their lives they had to adjust, accept, or resist because of the pandemic. As we conclude this school year, this current exhibition showcases the positive aspects of students’ new lives through their artwork. Prompted by the many swift changes in our world and despite the monotony of our current quarantine life, the artists featured in this exhibition have created work illustrating where they found their silver lining.
