Emily Jacques-Hawco

Through a series of large, tapestry-like portraits depicting the female figure I intend to reveal the symbiotic relationship between the essence of plants and the emotional healing of women. The works are made of various botanically-inspired fabrics embroidered to the unstretched canvas and each plant has a meaningful connection to the model and her experience.
