IN - SIDE ROMANIA
The concept of the exhibition In-Side Romania addresses a personal vision of what authentic Romania means, a country with a rich popular culture, with old and impressive places and with people who enrich this treasure through traditions and customs.
The theme considers three contexts: social - the relationship of folk art with rural life, cultural - the presentation of different spots with archaic connotations, historical - the antiquity of customs, traditions and places. Two subjects will be deepened: tradition - as an element that preserves the authentic beauty and that tells the story of a people, and the old places, shrouded in mystery.
Each place has its story, known or unknown, and each place keeps a mystery that arouses curiosity - this is the leitmotif of my works. Based on mental images or on photos, reinterpreted through a mixed technique, I urge the viewer to unravel the mystery of Romania.
