This exhibition presents the “Neue Horizonte” series.
A series of works made in wood and gold by Ícaro Matos that invites the viewer to reflect on the importance of line as the main element in the creation of visual space.
The works reflect the artist's research into the golden mathematics of nature in concrete geometry.
The works suggest the connection between the finite and the infinite, the tangible and the abstract. The horizon presents itself as a metaphor for infinity, the line as the vital force of visual space and the boundary of spatiality.
The lines that shape tangible space transcend the abstraction of space to infinity.
