初中歷史科電子閱讀奬勵計劃 2023 Junior Secondary History e-Reading Award Scheme 2023

是次獎勵計劃旨在促進學生從閱讀中學習歷史,營造校園的閱讀風氣和文化;及提高學生對學習歷史的興趣,鼓勵他們透過電子平台進行自主學習、探求歷史知識,並建立正面的價值觀及態度。
2023年度的獎勵計劃於2023年4月至8月舉行,共有157所中學報名、接近22,200名學生參與,人數為5屆之最。本屆共有48位學生表現優異,獲頒「優異獎」。11隊學生小組共43位學生獲頒發「創意獎」。此外,5隊學生小組共15位學生獲頒發「學術獎」。最後,78間學校的參加學生完成率達75%或以下,獲頒「學校參與獎」,以作鼓勵。
創意獎、學術獎及優異獎的得獎條件如下:
• 創意獎得獎作品須具原創性,並以創意的方式展現篇章中的正面價值觀,以及能扼要介紹創意作品的理念;
• 學術獎得獎作品須對篇章內容表現出透徹的理解,並展示對不同歷史技能的掌握,以及能提出合理和持平的觀點;
• 優異獎的獲獎學生須閱讀最少 6 篇篇章,準確地回答80%以上的選擇題,並於延伸議論題表現優異,展現對篇章內容表現出透徹的理解,並展示對不同歷史技能的掌握,以及能提出合理和持平的個人觀點。
「初中歷史電子閱讀計劃2023頒獎禮」於2022年11月13日假香港大學陸佑堂舉行。
教育局局長蔡若蓮博士為頒獎禮主禮,與一眾嘉賓頒發獎項予得獎學生,表揚他們的優秀表現,並勉勵學生從閱讀中發掘研習歷史的樂趣,以及從中培養高尚的品德情操。頒獎儀式後,獲獎學生及其任教老師分享他們的學習經歷和心得。同場亦設「創意獎」及「學術獎」獲獎作品展覽,讓得獎學生展示學習成果。

"The aims of the Award Scheme are to encourage students to learn history through reading, and create a favourable reading atmosphere and culture in school; and to arouse students’ interest in learning history, enable them to engage in self-directed learning through the e-platform, acquire historical knowledge and develop positive values and attitudes. The 2023 Award Scheme was held from April to August 2023, with about 22,200 students from 157 secondary schools participating, which is the highest in the 5 years. A total of 48 students who performed excellently received the “Merit Award”. 11 student teams with 43 students obtained the “Creativity Award”. Besides, 5 student teams with 15 students received the “Academic Award”. Lastly, as an encouragement, 78 schools received the “School Participation Award” for their participating students attained a completion rate of 75% or above.The awarding criteria for Creativity Award, Academic Award and Merit Award are as follows:
• The awarded Creativity work should show originality and illustrate the positive values shown in the article in a creative way, and can concisely introduce the concept of the Creative work;
• The awarded Academic work should show a thorough understanding of the relevant content of the articles, mastery of different historical skills and the ability to put forward reasonable and impartial personal views;
• Awardees of Merit Award should read at least 6 articles and complete multiple-choice questions with an accuracy of 80% and submit one entry for the article-related extended essay, and perform excellently in the extended essay, and show a thorough understanding of the content of the articles, mastery of different historical skills and the ability to put forward reasonable and impartial personal views.
The ‘Prize-presentation Ceremony of the Junior Secondary History e-Reading Award Scheme 2023’ was held in Loke Yew Hall, The University of Hong Kong on 13 November 2023.

The Secretary for Education, Dr CHOI Yuk-lin, officiated at the Prize-presentation Ceremony and presented prizes to awardees. She commended their excellent performance and encouraged them to explore the pleasure of studying history through reading, as well as nurture a high standard of moral values. After the Prize-presentation Ceremony, awardees and their respective teachers shared their learning experiences and insights. There was also an exhibition in the venue, displaying the winning entries of the “Creative Award” and “Academic Award”, to showcase the learning achievements of the awardees.
