Cornu copiæ

Exploring our relationship with the object in the context of overconsumption, Cornu copiæ brings together a series of mostly sculptural works based on an assemblage of salvaged everyday objects, drawings, photomontages and connotative textual elements where English and French are mixed in the manner of the Exquisite Corpse from the Surrealist art movement. It takes a critical look at the evolution of this relationship that unites the human consumer and what is left behind everyday consumer products, i.e. packaging, waste and surpluses, and dwells on the many paradoxes that mark this relationship by proposing a multiple personification of overconsumption which shelters within it the human in a state of servitude to the object supposed to serve it.
