Life in Colours
Exhibited in this 3D space is my story in paints. Seen here are wild inspirations, vibrant colours and intense emotions captured from my strongest roots, purest heart and deepest inner sanctuary.
These artworks most often have two mirroring ‘souls’, a physical soul (oil on canvas) and a digital soul (digital paintings re-created with Procreate on my iPad). Together these physical and digital artworks complete each other. They are not photographs of oil paintings reworked through photoshop. They are not mindless copies.
Digital techniques breathe new life, spirit and inspiration into my artworks. When I am making these second soul artworks I am reaching deeper into each painting to bring them to life in order to convey more emotions. It is through this digital process that I am able to create poetic animations, coded colour changes, or augmented reality filters. Here you will see a play button next to the paintings that hold animations within them.
May you enjoy and experience the strong sensations created by colours and abstract forms. The feeling of losing oneself in a work of art is a human necessity. Being surrounded by bright alluring colours can influence our way of being and way of life. Colours nurture our spirit and give us energy.
