Paintings of Britain by Various Artists Gallery
This gallery is part of the "Memories of Britain" exhibition. You can find out more about that exhibition in the "Memories of Britain - Entrance Foyer Gallery" which serves as a starting point to see the collections in their individual gallery rooms (including this one). They are all here on Kunstmatrix.
This gallery is made up of three sections and exhibits paintings of Britain by various artists. There are 86 paintings grouped in four categories: i) Cornwall,
ii) London and its Parks, iii) Peak District and Yorkshire, and iv) landscapes in other parts of Britain.
Kindly note the following:
1) All paintings and their descriptions are my own. I have described paintings based on my personal knowledge and interpretation. These descriptions have not been reviewed or endorsed by any artists.
2) Where possible, I tried to establish when paintings were created. Surprisingly many paintings are not dated. In those cases, I tried to estimate roughly when they were painted.
3) In case of errors, please make me aware of required corrections using the "Request" mailing feature available in the "Detail View" menu of any art object - just overtype the sample text with your own message. You can also use this for general comments and feedback - Thank You.
