2021 PwA Veteran's Gallery

The Veterans Cohort at Path with Art launched in the fall of 2019. Since that time, the program has more than tripled in growth, supporting over 158 veterans so far in 2021 with free, year-round multidisciplinary arts classes, workshops, and exhibitions/performances. Using a collaborative model, Path with Art works with professional teaching artists—many veterans themselves—who design and teach healing-centered classes. The program is open to all veterans, referred by 15+ social service partners. Path with Art inspires veterans to use art as a supplementary tool in the present, to guide their future, while reconciling with the past. By participating in the program, veterans increase their connection to self and others, build new skills through which to navigate post-traumatic stress, boost self-esteem, decrease suicidal ideation, and improve their abilities to meet applicable recovery goals.
