SURGE - 3D virtual exhibition by UAL Post-Grad Community

dim, 07/18/2021 to ven, 12/10/2021

curated by:

SURGE - Explore the surgical technology and techniques of the future and what this means for patients and society.

We proudly present this virtual showcase of the work created out of a recent collaborative cross disciplinary project between University College London (UCL), the Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) and the Post-Grad Community at University of the Arts London (UAL).

The Surge project invited UCL healthcare technology researchers and postgraduate artists at UAL, to come together and consider the role of data in health and the public, ethical and societal effects of surgical technologies. Together, they sought to overcome the barriers of communication erected by the COVID 19 pandemic and engage with members of the public to contribute to the creation of new work.

The partnerships presenting work are:

Janet Choi (UAL) with Tijana Jevtic Vojinovic (UCL)
Sophie Huckfield (UAL) with George Dwyer (UCL)
Priya Odedra (UAL) with Richard Colchester (UCL)
