Lynea Ames: Mimicry of a Dream Forgotten, or was it a Nightmare?

Creating a soft and fluffy creature as metaphor for the process of healing; it is both comforting and disconcerting, reflecting the tension between the good and painful aspects that healing entails. Using cropping to queer the perception of my non-binary body. Through paintings, sculpture and performance, I outwardly depict the internal relationships between the subject and recovery. Assembling a world in which healing takes physical tangible form.
