The year 2020 and start of 2021 were in many ways a pivotal period that produced events that will be pondered upon for many years to come. Protest actions and events of Black Lives Matter, Occupy City Hall, against racism and police brutality, that followed by the Stop the Steel Riot/Capitol Riot in Washington showed that American freedoms and willingness for self-expression on both sides is alive and well.

These evens demonstrate that the theory of political progress, first formulated by German philosopher Hegel, stating the Dialectic principle of the development of the world – that the world history progresses from one extreme to another, before the right balance is found.

The Summer 2020 protests that lead to many violent outbreaks and destructions, as well as the Capitol Riot that led to the siege of Capitol, for the first time in 200 years, were good examples of thesis and antithesis extreme moves, that Hegel introduced, and that should eventually lead to synthesis - a balanced development.

Kir am fascinated by these movements and produced the works in this series under the inspiration by these movements.
