La démarche artistique de Romain Liverato trouve son origine dans une quête incessante du paysage naturel dans toute sa grandeur. Sa pratique photographique célèbre la Nature pour elle-même, dans ce qu’elle a de souverain et d’indépendant, en s’affranchissant de toute lecture anthropocentrée.

Formé au Droit privé des contrats, Romain Liverato est diplômé d’un Master II, obtenu major de promotion à l’Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Il poursuit un parcours d’excellence jusqu’à l’obtention du concours de la magistrature, métier qu’il exerce aujourd’hui parallèlement à son activité artistique.
C’est au terme de ces années d’études exigeantes, lorsqu’un espace de respiration s’ouvre dans un quotidien jusqu’alors entièrement consacré au droit, que Romain Liverato développe sa singularité picturale. Son regard, affiné par une grande rigueur d’analyse, se tourne vers le monde qui l’entoure. La photographie devient son outil d’observation, de questionnement et de construction d’un langage visuel personnel.
Artiste pluridisciplinaire, il transforme rapidement ses images en pièces uniques, mêlant photographie, techniques numériques, interventions manuelles et matériaux variés. Romain Liverato's artistic approach stems from a relentless quest to capture the natural landscape in all its grandeur. His photography celebrates Nature for its own sake, in all its sovereignty and independence, free from any anthropocentric interpretation.
However, during his many travels, this search for untouched Nature has come up against a persistent reality: while Nature remains omnipresent, so too does the human footprint.
This observation marks a decisive turning point in his artistic approach. Landscape photography thus becomes a starting point, a material that he questions, transforms, and enriches.
Through a resolutely visual approach, he developed a body of work at the crossroads of several disciplines, incorporating various techniques such as painting, watercolor, mosaic, gilding, collage, and digital retouching. These gestures introduce a visual and semantic contrast.
The aim is not to erase reality, but to reveal what alters our perception of it: the marks, fractures, and resurgence of human activity in our territories.
Through this hybridization of media, her work brings out the tension between aesthetic contemplation and environmental questioning. It explores the complexity of the relationship between humans and nature, inviting the viewer to reflect in a new way—poetic, critical, and committed—on our relationship with living things.
Trained in private contract law, Romain Liverato graduated with a Master II degree, ranking first in his class at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. He pursued a path of excellence until passing the competitive examination for the judiciary, a profession he now practices alongside his artistic activity.
It was at the end of these demanding years of study, when a breathing space opened up in a daily life that had until then been entirely devoted to law, that Romain Liverato developed his unique pictorial style. His gaze, refined by a rigorous analytical mind, turned to the world around him. Photography became his tool for observation, questioning, and constructing a personal visual language.
A multidisciplinary artist, he quickly transformed his images into unique pieces, combining photography, digital techniques, manual interventions, and various materials.
