Plastic Phantastic ?
Kunststoffprodukte und -verpackungen sind leicht, billig, praktisch – und ein Riesenproblem. Mit Skulpturen und Objekten aus Plastik, zwei großen Rauminstallationen und einem Videoprojekt stellen die zwei Künstler Paulo de Brito und Maria Rosina Lamp in einer Gemeinschaftsausstellung ihren jeweiligen Blickwinkel dar.
Sie wollen die Augen öffnen für einen sorgsameren Umgang mit Plastik. Denn das Pro-Kopf-Aufkommen an Plastikmüll in Deutschland steigt von Jahr zu Jahr, wobei nur ein Bruchteil recycelt wird. Durch Aufklärung und eine bildliche Darstellung regen die Künstler zum Umdenken an.

Plastic products and packaging are light, cheap, practical - and a huge problem. With sculptures and objects made of plastic, two large room installations and a video project, the two artists Paulo de Brito and Maria Rosina Lamp present their respective perspectives in a joint exhibition.
They want to open our eyes for a more careful handling of plastic. The per capita amount of plastic waste in Germany is increasing from year to year, and only a fraction of it is recycled. Through education and a pictorial representation, the artists encourage people to rethink.
