Doong-Ji (둥지) is a nest in the Korean language that refers to home, sanctuary, and a safe space. Doong-Ji can be a place where you can give birth, begin your life, get nurtured, and physically protected. Participating artists in this online exhibition are students, teachers, volunteers, community members, families, friends, and acquaintances under the Natural Dye Initiative. In other words, everyone in this exhibition is being connected to one another whether directly or indirectly regardless of the physical distances and locations.
Fiber and visual arts that represent a variety of cultures, traditions, Identities, and communities based on natural dye will be introduced in this exhibition. We hope this online exhibition visually provides a place where you can feel love, peace, and support for both participating artists and viewers, especially during this difficult time.

Curated by Rosa Sung Ji Chang with the Indigo Shade Map team.
