UNITY - 3D virtual exhibition by TAMK iWeek 2021

Does art have the power to change the world?

UNITY virtual exhibition brings together a wide range of works created by TAMK Media, Music and Art students during the academic year 2020-2021, while re-examining what ‘art’ means and its interrelationship with life.

The year 2020 was one of marked upheaval that has left no business, sector or industry unaffected. In 2021, after one full year of struggles, aspects of life continue to be re-discussed and seen from new perspectives. During the COVID-19 shutdowns, the essential role of art has become an increasingly intriguing topic, and the pandemic enhanced the idea of creative expression as an integral part of our identity as humans.

Undoubtedly, art has the required instruments to induce change. Art has the power to stimulate society. It can spur thinking, engagement, and even action. The creative minds of UNITY exhibition have addressed the most discussed dilemmas ruminating within our society, shared the most common inner struggles of the 21st century individual, while depicting a spark of hope for a brighter future.

Music of the exhibition composed by Isabelle Coelho and Edgars Zinovjevs.
