JOOST DE JONGE & YORAM CHISIN

Our fifth Virtual Exhibit features two abstract artists who approach their paintings as vehicles of expressing intense emotions and inner turmoil through use of vivid colors in unexpected combinations and shapes. Both artists are strongly connected to the history of their respective home lands. Israeli artist Yoram Chisin has been deeply affected by his family’s history during the Holocaust, his experience as a soldier during the war in Lebanon, and the emotional toll suffered from personal tragedy. Dutch Artist Joost de Jonge, in his continuous quest to understand human and artistic creation and purpose, derives inspiration from classical music, philosophy, as well Dutch masters such as Van Gogh, thereby achieving a very unique post-modern sensibility.
