The Green Flat

In Heemskerk (North-Holland, Netherlands) stood 3 flats, built in the ’70’s. Recently these flats have to be demolished to make way for new housing. The flats were distinguished by color accents, this was the green flat. I wanted to record the disappearance of a building that had been a home for many people over the years and is now gone. I met the last inhabitant who left and watched the building be reduced to rubble. Now only photos remain.
