Gallery Unlock is pleased to present “Fluid Narratives” a solo virtual exhibition curated by Stefania Carrozzini of german artist Marion Schmidtke. The exhibition is composed of 15 artworks and it will be on display on Kunstmatrix platform from January 25 to February 25, 2021.

Abstract art enables the artist to perceive beyond the tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite," Arshile Gorky once declared. "It is the emancipation of the mind. It Is an explosion into unknown areas".
German artist Marion Schmidtke, explores this dimension , which is the key element to understand her work, but her painting provides viewers with a different range of interpretative possibilities, evoking what is both visible and invisible.
With layers of colors Marion builds the space of painting , immerging into a calm realm made of peace and of intimate nature connection. Thus, we can perceive the magic time of her narration, following the dynamic interplay of natural life flow.

Marion Schmidtke was born in Hamburg in 1961. She lives and works in Germany. Marion's work is the result of a long research on the dimension of silence favored by the fact that Marion Schmidtke lives on Fehmarn Island, an island surrounded by the Baltic Sea where the spectacle of nature is a source of creative inspiration for the artist. What we are facing is a painting that feeds on essentiality, with controlled gestures, inserted in a context of hints to the truth. An intimate vision of the natural world emerges where space is crossed by impalpable fluctuations and structural harmonies
