Growth is not neat and tidy and new
It’s old and messy and grubby with wonky lines
blowing in the wind and sun gold in the water on the dirty concrete

Nature can be cracking plastic, cuts and bruises, worn corrugated iron, peeling paint, old motorbikes, weathered boards, weeds and veggies growing to seed all mixed with children and magic tricks and flowers and ordinary new red bricks

Freedom can live on Sunday afternoon in a suburban backyard in an Australian city, any time between now and then.
