Fiber, Fabric and Thread: On and Off the Wall
The Menino Arts Center proudly announces “Fiber, Fabric and Stitch — On and Off the Wall”, a Juried Exhibition that runs from June 29 to August 28, 2026.
The exhibition will be viewable both in person at the Menino Arts Center, 26 Central Ave, Hyde Park, MA, 02136, and in a virtual 3D gallery that you can stroll through at http://www.hpaa-mac.org/exhibits/. There will be an in-person reception on Saturday, July 11, 3:30-5pm
Gallery hours at the MAC are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am – 4 pm; and Saturdays from 10 am – 1 pm
Our juror, Jennifer Chrzanowski, Director of the Fuller Craft Museum, (https://fullercraft.org/) reviewed an outstanding, diverse and highly competitive field of entries. From 208 submissions, she selected 76 fiber artworks for inclusion in the exhibition. All selections were made through a blind jury process, without reference to artists' names.
Curated by Sasja Lucas (https://www.sasjalucas.com) and co-curated by Mary Harman (https://www.instagram.com/maryharma/).
The exhibition features 76 pieces by 69 artists working in 2D and 3D contemporary fibers that push the boundaries of traditional forms. They come from 4 countries and 19 US states, listed below:
