This project began with a curiosity about the visual and symbolic connections between the human body and the natural world. I found myself noticing small details and realising how closely they echo the structures we see in nature. These observations led me to question whether our connection to the planet is far more visible than we usually acknowledge. Similarities stretch marks resembling tree bark, fingerprints echoing the rings of a tree, both marking growth, time, and survival. Our limbs mirror branches, our curves reflect landscapes shaped by nature. Just as a tree’s rings reveal its lifespan, the human body carries visible records of age and experience, They suggested a shared story of growth, resilience, and transformation.. Through this project, I aim to investigate how photography can reveal these connections and encourage a more compassionate way of seeing the body.
