NONWORDS by Ger Killeen brings together works in which image, script, and perception enter into unstable, generative relation. In these pieces, handwriting, asemic marks, and fractured notation do not caption the world but become its very texture: marshes, storm-waves, winter trees, animal presences, and human forms emerge from fields of near-legibility and graphic turbulence. Refusing any clean separation between text and image, these artworks inhabit the threshold where seeing becomes a kind of reading, and reading returns us to the body, to atmosphere, to the dense materiality of marks. NONWORDS invites viewers into a phenomenological encounter with forms that hover between disclosure and concealment, where illegibility is not a lack but a source of visual and ontological richness.
