The Goddessarts Gallery is excited to present Landscapes of Memory and Motion, a solo exhibition by Anand Manchiraju. Bringing together a diverse body of work, the exhibition traverses urban cityscapes, natural vistas, and abstract compositions, reflecting the artist’s enduring engagement with landscape in its many forms. From the energy of rain-soaked metropolitan streets to the quiet expanses of mountains and forests, Manchiraju captures both the external world and its emotional resonance.

Working with oils and acrylics, and extending into experimental processes using photographic chemicals on unconventional surfaces, the artist constructs richly textured works that blur the boundaries between representation and abstraction. His distinctive use of palette knife and improvised tools creates layered surfaces that evoke movement, light, and atmosphere.

At the core of the exhibition is an exploration of how landscapes—whether built or natural—hold memory, rhythm, and narrative. Each work becomes a site of encounter, where structure meets spontaneity and observation merges with inner experience. Landscapes of Memory and Motion invites viewers to move between these shifting terrains and discover their own connections within them.
