Fragments of Becoming: An Exhibition of Human Becoming(s).
Fragments of Becoming is a self-funded project of Cultural Alleys. Central to this project's approach is the inherent question: how do we explain and understand our ‘becoming’? And how, through creative artistic expression, these becoming(s) are meditated and revealed.
With the works from exceptional artists, rich in depth, meaning, and expression, this project presents the layered expressions of their becoming(s). These expressions are rooted in lived experiences, culture, belonging, identity, and all the many fragments that shape our becoming(s). The exhibition is divided into 3 rooms, and each room is dedicated to the themes of "Perspectives", "Understanding", "Empathy" (in this order). Only, when we engage with diverse perspectives, do we develop understanding, through which we gain empathy.
Hence, we request that you take some time to go through each work and gain insights into the plural becoming(s).
