"HOLY VISIONS" by JIRO at the Perfume Art Creation Galleries
In Holy Visions, JIRO explores the invisible threshold between the sacred and the intimate.
His feminine figures, bathed in inner light, are contemporary icons that speak to all cultures and sensitivities.
But in this catalogue — and only here — they reveal an additional dimension: they become perfumed artworks. Each painting is paired with an olfactory composition conceived to extend the gesture of the artist.
The perfume does not illustrate the image — it breathes with it. It unveils the silent part of the painting.

Perfume Art Creation a le plaisir de présenter au Centre Arménien de Genève la collection parfumée Visions Saintes de JIRO, à travers le prisme de la philosophie d’Emmanuel Levinas.
L’œuvre de JIRO — en particulier sa série consacrée aux visages féminins et aux figures de saintes — entre en profonde résonance avec la pensée de Levinas.
« L’épiphanie du visage », qui place le visage de l’Autre au cœur même de l’éthique, trouve ici une expression artistique singulière et subtile.
Cette collection invite à un voyage entre les âmes et les visages du sacré. Elle puise ses racines dans l’église Sainte-Hripsimé en Arménie, témoin d’une foi ancestrale, tout en s’ancrant dans la présence de saintes contemporaines : ces femmes du quotidien dont les regards semblent porter la lumière du jour.
Dans leurs yeux, JIRO perçoit un reflet du divin, une clarté intérieure qui éclaire son chemin créatif et spirituel, celui d’un homme partagé entre Orient et Occident, entre mémoire et modernité.

The Emotion of a Painter “I paint what I see, not what others want to see.” — Édouard Manet
Born in the Drôme region of France, JIRO discovered early in life that painting was his way to express emotions beyond words.
Guided by Manet’s belief, he has followed a path of authenticity and inner truth, where every color becomes a vibration of the soul.
Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Valence, he learned to listen to the inner voice that flows through his Armenian roots. In his works, the earth, the mountains, and the memory of a people blend with light and the joy of life.
Since his beginnings in 1977, in the studio of Janette Clément, JIRO has painted with his heart. Each encounter, each face, each shared moment — such as those with singer ZAZ or DJ Super Sako — opens a new bridge toward inspiration.
Between France and Armenia, his two homelands of the soul, he finds harmony. In the sounds, winds, and fragrances, painting becomes a spiritual act, a colorful prayer that celebrates the beauty of the world.
