The Power of Icons by Richard Sele
Arts4All Florida is featuring solo exhibitions by member artists with disabilities from its Artist Registry.
"The Power of Icons" is an Exhibition featuring the works of Richard Sele, retired veteran and artist who uses scratchboard as a vehicle to evoke the full range of emotions in viewers. “If you don’t feel some level of emotion in my work then I have failed as an artist. I want people to remember how they felt when they view my artwork.” He has captured the impact of war, famine, and genocide; depicted humanitarians and former leaders in the world; presented icons in music, movies, and sports; and shared a glimpse into endangered species of the world.
