We Are All Equal At The End

In this virtual exhibition, Douglas Okasaki masterfully captures the transience of human life, shaken by the harsh reality of the pandemic. Life is a precious gift, too short to be consumed by fear, prejudice, or hatred. Our differences make us unique, and accepting them is key to living a fulfilling life. Death is a fact of life, and in its wake, we are all reduced to the same physical form: a skull. This sobering reality reminds us that our material possessions, accomplishments, and physical appearances are fleeting. Okasaki's thought-provoking work inspires us to seize every moment, free from the burden of past grudges and future anxieties. Through his art, we are reminded of our shared humanity, a common ground that binds us all together.
