大学卒業後、１年間の会社員生活を経て漫画家を目指し、1989年「8月の光」でアフタヌーン四季賞大賞を受賞。1990年、「宮本から君へ」（モーニング／講談社）で連載デビューを果たし、1992年に「宮本から君へ」で小学館漫画賞を受賞する。その後、性と暴力をテーマにした「愛しのアイリーン」「ザ・ワールド・イズ・マイン」を描き、テロと革命をテーマにした「キーチ‼︎」「キーチvs」「SCATTER-あなたがここにいてほしい-」を描く。
After graduating from university, he worked as a company employee for a year before aiming to become a manga artist, winning the Grand Prize at the Afternoon Shiki Awards in 1989 for "August Light." In 1990, he made his serial debut with "From Miyamoto to You" (Morning/Kodansha), and in 1992, "From Miyamoto to You" won the Shogakukan Manga Award. He subsequently drew "My Dear Irene" and "The World is Mine," which dealt with themes of sex and violence, as well as "Kichi!!," "Kichi vs." and "SCATTER - I Wish You Were Here," which dealt with themes of terrorism and revolution.
